If you have a box of crayons laying around your house chances are you have a bunch of broken ones. You don't have to throw those away, you can bring them back to life! Simply remove any remaining paper from the crayons. Then pick some colors that compliment each other, I use two different colors. Next add them to any mold you have or even a muffin tin. If you don't want to use your good muffin tins look from some cheap at a thrift store or yard sale. Now that you've got your colors picked and the crayons are in your molds put them in a 200 degree oven to melt. It doesn't take very long, just keep an eye on them. Wait until the crayons are completely cool before trying to remove them. This would be a fun project for the kids to help with. The chunky round crayons from the muffin tin are great for little hands. Print some coloring pages off the internet and you've got a fun filled afternoon!
